National Solidarity – A Community United

The following is a statement by Richard L. Tafel, executive director of Log Cabin Republicans, on yesterday's attack against the United States:

"All of us at Log Cabin Republicans express our solidarity with all Americans on this day after the vicious attack on our nation. Gay and lesbian Americans across the nation are united today. In the face of defending our nation together, all differences fall away, and all other issues pale in comparison. We are one nation, we are brothers and sisters in one united gay and lesbian community, and we won't be divided.

Now is the time to join together behind our President and our government in defense of our nation.

We appreciate the e-mails and calls of concern from our members and friends from around the country. Our Board members and staff in Washington and New York are all safe, and we are currently checking on all our members in both cities, and ask for any information on their safety. We ask for prayers for all those who were lost, and for their families that are grieving today."
