(Atlanta, Georgia, March 30, 2019) Georgia Log Cabin Republicans would like it to be made clear that the letter, sent by the five openly gay members of the Georgia state legislature, does not represent the gay community in its entirety. There are those of us within the community who are offended and appalled at the wanton use of the gay community as a barging chip to further a specific agenda. An agenda that uses the gay community and our precarious position in Georgia to counter a piece of legislation that protects some of our most vulnerable citizens. This is pandering at its finest. This is not an economic issue, as stated by our democrat counterparts, as most businesses have remained quiet and have allowed Georgians to make decisions that are best for Georgians. Thank you, we applaud you for letting Georgia do what's best for Georgia.

As a woman and a proud board member of the Georgia Log Cabin Republicans, and on their behalf, would like to thank Representative Ed Setzler (R-Acworth) for his championing of HB 481. We would also like to thank those members of the Georgia house legislature that voted to pass HB 481. We applaud Governor Kemp and his commitment to life and thus the protection of lives who do not have a voice.

The Georgia Log Cabin Republicans are proud to stand behind the men and women of the Georgia Legislature who will make Georgia safer for children, born and unborn.
