Washington, D.C. - Today Log Cabin Republicans announced it has officially joined the Steering Committee of Americans for Workplace Opportunity (AWO), adding its name to the diverse, bi-partisan group consisting of 11 organizations representing millions of Americans who support passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

"Log Cabin Republicans presence at the table will be a huge asset as we work to further bolster the strong bipartisan support for this measure," said Deborah Pryce, the Americans for Workplace Opportunity campaign spokesperson and champion of ENDA while a member of the U.S. House of Representatives until 2009.

Gregory T. Angelo, Executive Director of Log Cabin Republicans added:

"Increasing Republican support for ENDA isn't just important - it's necessary, and I'm looking forward to collaborating with our partners on the AWO Steering Committee and Log Cabin Republicans Chapters across the country as we build momentum in our push for the long-overdue passage of this common-sense legislation. With more Republicans signing on as co-sponsors of ENDA following its bi-partisan passage in the United States Senate, Log Cabin Republicans has the opportunity to make a critical difference to bring ENDA across the finish line together with our AWO partners."
