Atlanta, GA - The Georgia Log Cabin Republicans announce the election of Coleman Williamson as the chapter's new president. Coleman stated, "I am proud to take on leadership of the Georgia Log Cabin Republicans, the state's most influential gay advocacy group. Since I joined the group a little over two years ago, I have seen it grow exponentially in membership and it has gotten the attention and support of local, state, and federal elected officials. I would like to thank Jamie Ensley and the Board of Georgia Log Cabin for entrusting me as president. I look forward to continuing the work Jamie has done for the past 15 years, growing the influence of Georgia Log Cabin, and working with our partners in advancing conservative, gay- friendly legislation and getting our allies elected to office this November!"

Coleman is an active, gay Republican who has been involved in Georgia politics since 2010, first volunteering with Karen Handel's campaign for governor.

The Log Cabin Republicans is the nation's oldest and largest Republican organization dedicated to representing gay conservatives and allies.
