Log Cabin calls on DOJ to reverse Pride ban

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Log Cabin Republicans today denounced a decision by the Department of Justice to ban an annual gay pride event. Log Cabin Executive Director Patrick Guerriero today called on the Justice Department to reverse the decision immediately.

"Banning this event is unfair and unjust. After years of successful pride events, the Department of Justice is taking a step backwards towards injustice for its dedicated gay and lesbian employees. This decision is inconsistent with the freedom of expression granted to gay and lesbian employees in other federal agencies and at the Justice Department until this unacceptable reversal," Guerriero concluded.

Log Cabin Republicans is the nations' largest gay Republican organization with chapters across America, a national office in Washington, DC and a federal PAC.
