Washington, D.C. - The Log Cabin Republicans National Board of Directors has chartered four new local Chapters: Log Cabin Republicans of Northeast Florida, Log Cabin Republicans of Maryland, Log Cabin Republicans of South Carolina, and Log Cabin Republicans of San Antonio, bringing the grassroots, state-based advocacy of the organization to a total of 46 Chapters in 24 states and the District of Columbia.

"Log Cabin Republicans has been working diligently over the past year to continue to grow our footprint with local Chapters throughout the country," Log Cabin Republicans National Executive Director Gregory T. Angelo stated. "These new and resurgent LCR Chapters position our organization well heading into 2016, with state-based efforts in key primary states, a blue state with a newly minted Republican governor, and further growth in the great, deep red state of Texas."

"My fellow Chapter Leader Erin Triay and I are pleased to be members of Log Cabin Republicans and this grassroots effort which is an amplifier of the strong Republican values we hold dear and to bring awareness to the importance of the LGBT cause," Log Cabin Republicans of Northeast Florida Chapter Leader Mark Fry said. "We will work hard to ensure that this message is heard throughout Northeast Florida."

"Marylanders can breathe easier with a new Governor dedicated not only to the financial health of the state, but also to the rights and freedoms of all Maryland families," Log Cabin Republicans of Maryland Chapter Leader Michael Estève remarked. "We're excited to work with Governor Hogan as he advances a pro-equality, fiscally sound agenda designed to benefit Marylanders of all stripes."

"The Palmetto State is a exciting place to see social attitudes changing and becoming more receptive to a diverse array of people," Log Cabin Republicans of South Carolina Chapter Leader Michael Calvert declared. "We now have a female, Indian-American Governor and the only Republican, African-American United States Senator. I feel a deep sense of purpose to continue those social advances for the LGBT community in the 'First in the South' state of South Carolina."

"We would like to thank the enthusiastic support of Log Cabin Republicans of Austin, various Bexar County Republican groups, and individuals for supporting us in this effort," Log Cabin Republicans of San Antonio Chapter Leader Larry Thrash said. "We are here to promote lower taxation for all Americans, an end to any and all discrimination, and the reduction of the federal government to a size appropriate to the function as envisioned by the founding fathers."
