(Washington, DC) - As President Barack Obama races around the country to finance his billion dollar reelection campaign, he's failing to deliver on the issues critical to all Americans.

"Whether it is the President's retreat from supporting marriage equality to his administration's failure to take negotiations seriously about the debt, Americans are reaching the conclusion that this president does not deserve a second term," said R. Clarke Cooper, Log Cabin Republicans Executive Director. "Americans deserve more than empty words; they deserve a government that will tackle unemployment, runaway spending and will work on reducing our enormous debt. Republicans are right to underscore the will of the American people, expressed clearly in the 2010 midterm election, that a lifting of the nation's $14.3 trillion debt ceiling must be coupled with real cuts in government spending. We need a government focused on spurring economic growth in the private sector, not the failed 'stimulus' approach that has consistently led to higher unemployment. With serious problems, we need serious solutions, not hollow promises. It is time for the president to set aside the campaigning and deliver real change."
