Log Cabin Republicans National Board Elects New Officers

(Washington, DC) – Log Cabin Republicans elected new leadership for its board of directors at an annual meeting held in Las Vegas Saturday. Peter Kingma of Chicago, who previously served as vice chairman and has been on the board since 2002, will serve as chairman. He succeeds Tim Schoeffler of Washington, DC, who served in that role for the last two years. Schoeffler will continue serving on the board. Kingma is a principal with REL Consultancy, a global consulting firm that works with Fortune 500 companies.

"I'm honored to be leading Log Cabin's national board," said Kingma. "We have an amazingly dedicated national board and staff who are working hard to build a more inclusive GOP. I look forward to helping advance our important mission."

"We thank Tim Schoeffler for his two years of service and commitment to the organization as chairman," said Log Cabin President Patrick Sammon. "It's going to be an exciting election year and a critical time for Log Cabin and we look forward to having Pete Kingma lead the board."

The board also elected Terry Hamilton of Los Angeles as vice chairman; Jerry Katlin of Leawood, Kansas as treasurer; and Alan Howard of Carmel, California as secretary.
